As a group around 20 or more employees will come under the COBRA continual coverage while employers will notify the plan administration for qualifying the event by 30 days if in any case there is any mishap in the form of death of the employee or a separation from family or reduction of work hours. A qualifying beneficiary may be important for application within 60 days of divorce or legal separation. This also means that there will be no under plan rules in case of divorce or separation that ceases the either the child’s or the spouse’s dependency on the employer.
