The LCD Plasma screen usually consists of thousands of little components as opposed to the big old electron gun CRT monitor which would update all the pixels. In an LCD plasma screen each LCD is a pixel and updates every time the LCD Plasma controller signifies it to. Thus, this makes it so that the LCD Plasma type TV is one of the fastest on the market, and takes up a lot of energy to operate.
